Custom teak decking

Yes, we are teak boat deck manufacturers. The customer sends us their templates -- whether physical or digital -- and we manufacture and ship the complete custom deck, ready to install onto the fibreglass hull. We can also travel to carry out on-site measurement with our professional Proliner machine.

The Proliner is a professional digital measuring system manufactured by Prodim (Netherlands), considered the marine industry standard. Using its unique mechanical pointer and cable system, it captures the contours of any surface with millimetre precision, even the most complex ones. In a few minutes it generates digital templates in DXF format that are sent directly to our production centre. It eliminates manual measurement errors, reduces material waste and shortens production times. It works in 2D, multiple planes or full 3D.

Yes, we accept physical templates (cardboard, paper, plywood) and digital files (DXF, DWG, PDF to scale). If you already have your deck measurements, send them to us and we will manufacture the deck to order. If you do not have templates, we travel with the Proliner to carry out digital measurement on site at your vessel.

Kommerling Korapur 928 is used, a black single-component polyurethane adhesive specifically designed for bonding marine decking to fibreglass. It offers maximum mechanical strength, elasticity to absorb expansion between teak and fibreglass, and full resistance to salt water and UV rays. Riviera Trade is a Kommerling distributor and holds Korapur 928 in stock.

Fastmount does work in exteriors thanks to its marine-grade 316 stainless steel clips (MC-SSM10B and MC-SSF10B), designed for exterior panels, high temperatures, salt spray and corrosive environments. What Fastmount does NOT do is bond teak decks directly onto fibreglass -- for that you need the polyurethane adhesive Kommerling Korapur 928. Riviera Trade supplies both Fastmount and Korapur 928.

Marine plywood

Marine plywood is manufactured from high-quality tropical hardwoods (Okoume, Sapelli, Teak) and bonded with WBP (Weather and Boil Proof) phenolic adhesives resistant to water. Unlike hardware-store plywood, it has void-free inner plies with no defects and a uniform structure that does not delaminate with moisture. Standard plywood cannot withstand water exposure and will delaminate.

Okoume WBP Class III (the most popular, lightweight, 430-490 kg/m3), Sapelli 100% Marine (mahogany appearance, high mechanical strength), Burmese Teak (top quality), teak-veneered on Okoume base (best value for money), and specialty boards such as Teak-Rubber black line and Teak-Holly white line for deck flooring. Thicknesses from 1.5 mm to 40 mm.

It is 30-40% lighter than birch (430-490 vs 680-750 kg/m3), reducing weight and fuel consumption. Excellent dimensional stability, easy to work with both hand tools and CNC machines, accepts all types of finishes (varnish, paint, veneer, Formica), and its WBP phenolic bond withstands prolonged water immersion.

Okoume is lighter (430-490 kg/m3), pale pink in colour, easy to work with, and more affordable. Ideal for bulkheads, furniture and veneering bases. Sapelli is denser (620-680 kg/m3), mahogany-coloured with a decorative interlocked grain, and mechanically stronger. Ideal when a fine finish is desired without veneering. Both use WBP phenolic bonding.

Yes, they are designed to withstand outdoor exposure: decks, bathing platforms, gangways, garden furniture, pergolas. The wood should be protected with marine varnish, teak oil or an epoxy coating to preserve its service life against UV rays.

The WBP phenolic bond is fully resistant to salt water. The wood itself needs surface protection (varnish, epoxy or oil). Teak boards are the most salt-resistant thanks to their natural oils. Okoume and Sapelli require a protective finish, but their WBP bond guarantees structural integrity.

For bulkheads (dividing walls), floors, ceilings, cabin furniture, galleys, heads, bathing platforms, teak deck substrates, structural reinforcements and access panels to services. On superyachts they are combined with Fastmount systems for removable panels.

4-6 mm for decorative panels and bulkhead linings; 9-12 mm for lightweight furniture, doors and shelves; 15-18 mm for structural furniture, worktops and main bulkheads; 22-25 mm for floors, bathing platforms and structural elements. The 12 mm Okoume is the most versatile all-round choice.

It weighs 40-60% less (critical on boats), does not crack or warp with moisture, is more affordable, offers the same visual beauty on the surface, and the WBP bond provides water resistance that solid wood lacks. On a 30-metre superyacht, using veneered boards instead of solid wood reduces interior fit-out weight by over a tonne.

Yes, our suppliers source timber from sustainably managed forests, with PEFC and FSC certifications subject to availability. If your project requires specific FSC certification, we can supply boards with a certified chain of custody.

Veneering, edge banding and custom manufacturing

Applying a thin layer of fine wood veneer (0.6-1 mm) or Formica onto an Okoume marine plywood base. This achieves the look of Teak, Cherry, Walnut or any wood at a fraction of the cost of solid timber. Riviera Trade produces veneered boards in its own professional workshop, with the capacity to supply projects of any size.

Any wood veneer: Burmese Teak, American Cherry, Sapelli, Walnut, Wenge, Oak, Ash, Maple, Bamboo and many more. Also Formica and decorative laminates in any colour and finish. Available on one or both faces.

Applying a strip to the board edges to conceal the inner plies and achieve a professional finish. On marine plywood, edge banding also seals the edge against moisture. We offer edge banding in solid wood to match the veneer, wood veneer, PVC or ABS.

Yes, all boards can be supplied cut to exact size for a small additional charge on top of the board price. This saves you shipping excess material, reduces waste and workshop time. For complex projects we offer optimised cutting plans to minimise offcuts.

Standard: 2500x1220 mm and 2440x1220 mm. Large format: 3100x1530 mm (on request). Thicknesses from 1.5 to 40 mm (common sizes: 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 22, 25 mm). All available custom-cut to size.

Kommerling and Soudal adhesives

Yes, we are Kommerling distributors. Our flagship product is Korapur 928 (black PU adhesive for bonding teak decks to fibreglass), alongside polyurethane sealants for window joints, hatches and deck hardware. All resistant to UV, salt water and vibration.

Kommerling Korapur 928 is a black single-component polyurethane adhesive specifically designed for bonding teak decks to fibreglass. It delivers maximum mechanical strength, elasticity to absorb expansion between teak and fibreglass, and full resistance to salt water and UV rays. Available in 600 ml cartridges. We hold it in stock.

Yes. Soudal is one of Europe's largest manufacturers of sealants, PU foams and technical adhesives. Their range includes marine silicones, mounting adhesives, fillers and sealants for boat building and joinery. Excellent value for money.

Water-resistant epoxy or polyurethane adhesives (type D4 per EN 204). Epoxies provide maximum structural strength. Polyurethanes (Kommerling, Soudal) are more flexible and absorb vibration. Never use white glue (PVA) or conventional contact adhesives in marine applications.

Fastmount - Invisible fastening

Fastmount is an invisible fastening system for panels in both interiors and exteriors, developed in New Zealand with over 20 years of engineering. It works with clip pairs: the female clip is fixed to the structure (bulkhead, wall, frame) and the male clip to the decorative panel. When the panel is pressed in, the clips engage with a secure click. To remove, simply pull the panel away. No visible screws, no special tools. For exterior applications, marine-grade 316 stainless steel clips are available (MC-SSM10B and MC-SSF10B). The only application Fastmount does NOT cover is bonding teak decks to fibreglass, which requires Korapur 928 adhesive. View full catalogue.

Three methods: self-tapping (the clip screws in with its own thread), screw fixing with a conventional screw, and adhesive or epoxy (when drilling is not possible). Most installations use mechanical methods that require no surface preparation.

From 0 to 8 mm depending on the range. The SLX Range offers up to 8 mm. The PC-AF1 clip from the Standard Range allows 5 mm to compensate for surface irregularities. Contact our technical team for advice on the right range for your project.

Between 5 and 25 kg per clip depending on range and model. Total load capacity is calculated by multiplying by the number of clips. Contact our technical team to correctly size your installation.

4-5 pairs/m2 with Stratlock or SLX (higher load capacity), up to 12 or more pairs/m2 with the Standard Range. Refer to the installation guides for each range or contact our technical team.

No. The system is so straightforward that anyone with basic skills, a drill and standard tools can achieve professional results. No surface preparation is needed, as most clips are mechanically fixed. Only if you use epoxy or another adhesive should you follow the manufacturer's instructions.

6 ranges: SLX (maximum strength, up to 25 kg, up to 8 mm adjustment), Standard (the most versatile, the original), Very Low Profile (ultra-compact profile), Low Profile (designed for the marine industry), Textile (fabrics and upholstery), and PanelSafe/SeisMount (seismic safety, up to 225 kg).

It is a wall plug or anchor that is inserted into brick or concrete (like a conventional wall plug). Once in place, the PC-F1A female clip is screwed on top. The solution for fixing Fastmount panels to brick, block or concrete walls.

The extraction force. H = Heavy Duty. VL-F3 = 5 kg, VL-F3H = 10 kg. Same ultra-compact profile from the Very Low Profile Range. Use the VL-F3H for heavier panels or areas subject to vibration.

A self-adjusting female clip from the Standard Range with up to 5 mm of adjustment. It compensates for wall or bulkhead irregularities without shims or manual adjustment. Ideal for refits where surfaces are not perfectly flat.

It is sewn directly onto the upholstery with any standard sewing-machine thread. Reinforced thread is recommended for best performance. Once sewn, the clip slides over the male clip fixed to the structure. The upholstery can be removed in seconds for cleaning.

No. Fastmount offers over 100 references across 6 ranges that cover virtually any application, both interior and exterior. Contact our technical team for the right combination for your project.

Yes, it is the perfect combination for high-end marine projects, both interior and exterior. The female clips are fixed to the structure and the male clips to the veneered marine plywood panel. The panel is removed in seconds to access services behind it. Riviera Trade supplies both products.

A drill and a screwdriver. For example, for PC-SF1 + PC-SM2 that is all you need. For other ranges, the CT-08 Yard Kit contains all the tools required to work with any Fastmount clip.

Remove the panel (very easy with Fastmount -- just pull it away) and swap the clip for a new one. It takes a few minutes.

Yes, the hotel and contract sector is one of the most important markets for Fastmount. Hotels, restaurants, luxury retail stores (Gucci, Louis Vuitton), hospitals and airports use Fastmount for their decorative panels. Panels are removed in seconds without tools for maintenance, cleaning or refurbishment, without damaging either the panel or the structure. Ideal for spaces that require frequent changes of look or access to concealed services.

Yes. The Metal Range clips in marine-grade 316 stainless steel (MC-SSM10B and MC-SSF10B) are specifically designed for exterior use: high temperatures, salt spray, corrosive environments and full weather exposure. They are used on exterior panels, facades and outdoor marine applications. The only exception is bonding teak decks to fibreglass, which requires Kommerling Korapur 928 adhesive.
